Membership

The Artists Guild is looking for new members, and welcomes all applications.

We are looking for artists whose work is authentic, shows depth, technical expertise in their medium, and whose work is an expression of their own unique voice. Only original fine artworks or hand pulled prints are exhibited at our shows.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing your application.

The artist jury is designed to evaluate your artwork for acceptance into the Artists Guild. Once your submission packet has been approved, you will be asked to bring in 6-10 pieces of a body of work that is consistent and professional in material and framing. We do not allow the display of photography or giclees prints.

Your work should exhibit the following elements:

- Your work should show originality

- It should have life energy and depth

- Shows good techincal knowledge, understanding and execution of your medium(s)

- Presented in a professional manner comparable to that displayed in galleries.

- Your work should avoid being commercial/market driven/designer oriented.

Joining the Artists Guild

Once accepted there is an initiate period of 6 months. A set of equipment will be rented to you at $200 for the entire period.

There are usually 8 shows a month to choose from, mosty at weekends, and you will need to participate in at least 12 during the 6 month initiate period.

After the initiate period annual membership is $100 and daily show fees vary from $25 to $95 depending on the venue and the level of participation and volunteer duties that work for you.

There is a minimum price base of $250 for original paintings and $150 for drawings and hand pulled prints. Hand pulled prints must have an edition size limit.
